Brown Organic Waste Bins for Clones

The urban areas of Clones Town will see the roll out of the Brown Bins for household organic waste. Almost 1/3 of all household waste is part of the organic fraction and the purpose of these specialised collections is to divert this compostable waste away from landfill. The current scheme in operation in other Towns in the County has been well welcomed by McElvaney customers and hopefully Clones will embrace the brown bin with the same enthusiasm. See flyer below for more information on the materials accepted in the Brown Bin.

Please note, NEW opening times from SATURDAY 13th JUNE will come into effect on SATURDAYS in Scotch Corner & Carrickmacross Recycling Centres. The new opening times for SATURDAY will be 9am - 1pm. Please note that weekday opening times of 9am - 5.30pm are not affected by this change

Please see our Recycling Centres page for further details on these time changes at Scotch Corner & Carrickmacross Recycling Centres.
